Should I call this post an accidental guide to touring Harare? I certainly didn’t plan to spend 10 hours everyday for 5 days exploring the city. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in that situation. My phone flashes, “A friend of mine is traveling from Ghana to Harare next week. I told him I know someone in Zimbabwe. I know you. Can you show him around?” I take my time to consider this request. I am having a hectic week, packed full of tasks. Realizing that I need and deserve a break, I respond an hour later, “Sure.
